About Us
Introduction
I started my carrier in Buda Castle as the founder of Judit Folklór Kft. in 1976 with immense success, during the Communist regime, among the first ones as a private enterprise. Many celebrities have visited my shop since.
For example, in 1990, I organized a fashion show for Lady Diana, during her visit in Budapest, in the Museum of Applied arts based on my own folk art collection.
In 2012, Nicole Kidman was photographed wearing Kalocsa-ornamented clothes of my design. (Please find the photo in the Gallery.) The clothes worn by the Australian star can still be ordered in our shop under 32 Váci street.
My spacious shop is located downtown Budapest under 32 Váci street. It awaits you in the exceptionally elegant spaces of an old building of exciting design. The spaces are furnished with historic furniture and pleasant music contributes to an outstanding experience for the visitors.
The shop stands out with its quality range of products and many curiosities. You may browse and chose from the unique collection I have designed in the past decades. Artistic, mostly juried products, a unique selection in Váci street.
My exclusive antique doll exhibition /please find the photos in the Gallery/ is also located here. All dolls exhibited here are several hundred years old, original pieces. Seventy antique dolls await visitors dressed in contemporary clothing. Photography is allowed.
Our foreign language speaking shop assistants await you in the number one walking street of Downtown Budapest, under 32 Váci street, to introduce you to my original Hungarian handmade products. Every product in the Gallery is handmade work.
The little “models” introducing my collection in the Gallery are my grandchildren.
